Wesley Thompson began training in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 14. Over the years, four martial artists contributed to his training: Shane Meredith, Master Billingslea, Walter Chalk, and David Higgs.

Wesley decided to give his life to ministry. He graduated from Magnolia Bible College in 2003 with a B.A. in Bible and a minor in youth ministry. In January of 2002, he and his wife Natasha moved to Starkville MS, where he was hired as the full time youth minister for the Starkville church of Christ. In March of 2002, a couple of teenagers from his youth group asked him to start teaching them Tae Kwon Do. He agreed and began teaching in backyards and garages, and later gained permission to use the churchÕs building - where he still teaches today. Stressing flexibility, speed, and sparring the school took on the name FLYING FEET!

Classes are every Thursday night from 6:30 - 8:30. Based on the demands of his position as a youth minister and the space in which he has to practice, Wesley still teaches primarily to those in his youth group, not recruiting students from in or around Starkville. Although it is not a public school, the members of the Flying Feet dojang have always and will continue to prove their skill, christian character, and ability to compete.
